Safety is our primary concern. With that in mind, Smile Amusement Specialists reserves the right to cancel any reservation that, in the opinion of the Smile Amusement Specialists representative, it deems a danger or jeopardizes safety in any way.
All residential rentals require a non-refundable $50 deposit. Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been received by Smile Amusement Specialists. All balances are required on the day of the event prior to the setup of the equipment. If payment is not available then it is at Smile Amusement Specialists discretion as to whether the equipment is installed. Furthermore if the deposit is transfered it can only be used with the same booking. Please note that the maximum timeframe for a deposit to be used is 6 months.

It is our policy to collect all balance payments prior to the setup of the equipment unless an arrangement has been made with Smile Amusement Specialists management beforehand. Please note that units will not be installed without payment first.

Residential:In the event of Rain or Windy weather Smile Inflatables 2016 Ltd reserves the right to cancel the booking as the safety of your children is paramount we will notify you as soon as possible and will refund any deposit . If you are cancelling for another reason then as long as we get sufficient notice - we may transfer the deposit through to a date in the future. The deposit can only be used with the same booking or items of an equal value - please call to discuss. All deposits are non-refundable so please do not ask for a refund.
We would also recommend that you look at an alternate indoor venue for your event - maybe a church hall, school gym or community hall or centre.
Commercial: In the event of bad weather you are given the option to cancel at least 3 days before the event. If this is met then we may transfer the deposit to a date in the future at the discretion of Smile Amusement Specialists. If you cancel on the day of the event you are liable for the full balance owing - furthermore if you have not cancelled with us and our staff arrive onsite to install equipment you are then liable for the full amount owing. If cancellation is made for any other reason we would require at least 1 weeks notice. If this is met then we may transfer the deposit through to a date in the future at the discretion of Smile Amusement Specialists. Furthermore the deposit can only be used with the same booking or items of an equal value - please call to discuss.
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. THEY ENSURE THAT YOU SECURE THE EQUIPMENT YOU WANT AND MAKE THEM UNAVAILABLE TO ANYONE ELSE, SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR A REFUND.
If you have a large event we would suggest that you make regular checks of the metservice so as to minimize your costs.
Sometimes the weather can be inconsistent throughout a day and while we may make the decision to cancel a booking because of weather we understand on some occasions the bouncy castle is the only entertainment for some families/organisations and please understand we do not do this on purpose but must make a call on safety grounds. Castle returned unclean will incur a $100+gst cleaning fee per item; full balance payment is required prior to the setup of the equipment; should the weather worsen and the hirer find themselves unable to use the unit they accept that they cannot ask for a refund or compensation. If at the hirer's request, Smile Amusement Specialists arrive at your address or venue to install a unit, then the full balance payment is due!!!
Peak Season: November - February
Because this is our busy season and all amusements are in great demand over this period, the following cancellation policy applies:
Commercial: Because of the time and staff required for the install of these large events - if cancellation is made 28 days prior to the event then only the deposit is forfeited - however at our discretion we may transfer through to another date in the future; if cancellation is made 14 days prior to the event then 25% of the balance owing is due - at our discretion we may transfer through to another date in the future; Finally if cancellation is made 7 days or less before the event then the full amount is due. Finally if we do transfer the deposit it can only be used with the same booking or items of an equal value.
Additional fees: Unless the event is supervised by Smile Amusement Specialist staff, all items become the responsibility of the individual or organisation (otherwise known as the "hirer") hiring the equipment. Therefore until Smile Amusement Specialists return to collect the items the hirer must ensure the following:
That all equipment is in the condition it was received: clean, undamaged and complete with all related items; if any unit requires cleaning then there is a minimum $100+gst per item to be paid by the hirer; if a unit is damaged then the hirer will be charged for the repairs; finally if any unit or related items (ie. blowers, pegs, sandbags, extension leads, generators etc...) are lost or stolen then the hirer is responsible for the full replacement value of the items.
Debt Collection: Any outstanding amounts that have not been agreed with Smile Amusement Specialists will incur a 10% penalty on the total value owing for each week they remain unpaid. Also as we use a debt collection agencies services in recovering debt all associated costs and legal expenses will be at the cost of the hirer.
Please note that we accept Bank deposits, Cheques and Cash
